About us

The complete iam tools story will be coming soon. But in the meantime, we felt we needed to explain a few things to keep you informed of what we do.

All of our tools (both polycarb & stainless steel) are hand crafted in our own workshops. The stainless steel Dolphin can take anything from 5-8 hours (on the workbench alone).

As my wife says - all of our tools are made with love, sweat and blisters.

The reason we take this long to manufacture is simple. We realized very early on that attaining the maximum amount of feedback from the tool, was what every therapist was looking for, but we were also very aware that we had to carefully balance this with maintaining comfort of use for both the therapist and the client.

We spent a lot of time working with people who had been trained in the Graston Technique and FAKTR-PM and also with some who had used many of the other manufacturers tools, and we set about trying to find out what they liked, why they liked it, what they did'nt like and how we could improve on that. Next we formed a couple of focus groups and then set about doing some testing on our tools. We modified, we tweaked and we re-tested until we were happy with the end result, which are the tools you see on our website today.

We continue to research other manufacturing methods, but are reluctant to change unless we can achieve similar results, without loosing any of the qualities that we can achieve by crafting by hand.

With that in mind, we would ask if you could please be patient with us, particularily around the times of our courses that we have running regularly.

You'll recieve the tools in a 100% wool pouch, which is also lovingly crafted by hand, so I would highly recommend keeping them both together between treatments. This way you can keep the tools as good as new. Looked after and cared for properly - there's no reason that these tools should'nt last you a lifetime.

Finally, I just wanted to take this opportunity to say a HUGE thankyou to everybody who has bought a tool, or a set of tools from us. Everyone has been fantastic in feeding back to us and a lot of the tweaks and modifications that we have made have come about through your comments and reccomendations. We will continue to respond to your feedback in our efforts to keep producing the best tools that we can.
